My interest in STEM started during my high years. I found myself particularly captivated by Physics and Science. I found it very interesting learning about the principles and laws that govern the world around us.
Your organization´s key sector and mission:
Politecnico of Torino’s mission is to train professionals in engineering, architecture, design, and urban planning, and conduct high-quality research that addresses technological advancements and social issues affecting humanity.
Please tell us briefly about your role in the company/organization:
As a Ph.D. student, my role is to conduct original research to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in my field. This included working on a project with an external organization to enhance research and its applications. Additionally, I’ve been involved in teaching activities at the university.
Your interest in STEM
I’ve never really had a particular role model, but there are certain qualities in people that I find admirable and inspiring. I am motivated by being around individuals who are diligent and determined when they want to achieve something.
Your studies
During my MSc, one of my biggest challenges was dealing with the competitiveness among some of my classmates. I value a collaborative and supportive learning environment, so the intense competition sometimes made it difficult to maintain a positive atmosphere.
Don’t be intimidated by studying something that might seem challenging. You will discover your limits but also develop skills that you might not have realized you had only along the way. If you don’t try, you can’t be certain of what you can achieve.
You at work
My working environment is diverse, and I appreciate the opportunity to exchange ideas with people from various countries.
I am proud of the personal and professional growth I have achieved during my three years as a Ph.D. student. I have become more confident in my work and have enhanced my technical skills. These achievements have helped me approach problems with greater structure and effectiveness, which is really rewarding.
As someone still navigating this path myself, I would offer the same advice I give to myself: embrace every opportunity to learn, stay curious, and trust your capabilities. Reflecting on past accomplishments can be a great way to stay motivated and maintain a positive attitude.

I believe that with the advancement in technologies, women have had more possibilities to pursue diverse career paths, access educational resources remotely, and connect globally, fostering greater empowerment and participation in various fields.
To finish with
After completing my Ph.D., my next goal is to find a job that aligns with the experience I have gained and my aspirations. I am eager to apply my knowledge in telecommunications to support space missions and contribute to advancing technology.
By 2030, I see myself as a respected professional within the space industry. I hope to be a go-to person for knowledge and expertise in the field of telecommunications, offering insights and guidance to my colleagues.
